Amanda has worked in the DD field for 9 years. She worked as a Program Supervisor for 1 & 1/2 years. When asked what a good day at work is, she said “A good day at work is having fun, laughing, and joking. Everyone should be happy. Life is too short not to be happy. I love my job. It is so rewarding!“
Amanda has five children and one grandson, and she lives on a farm. She is a very patient, understanding, thoughtful and dedicated person. Amanda is always willing to help people whenever she can. She works hard to make sure all her client’s needs are met. The Shelby County Board of Developmental Disabilities appreciates all that she does.
All people with various levels of abilities, sometimes need help. Providers are the key to independent living for those with developmental disabilities. We are very fortunate at The Shelby County Board of DD to have Amanda as a service provider for the people we serve.
