March Provider of the Month

Conya Carey

Congratulations to March’s Provider of the Month, Conya Carey.  Conya has been working in the Developmental Disabilities field for 9 years and has been an Independent Provider for a little over a year. Conya feels very blessed to be able to work with two of the most caring and loving individuals. She looks forward to going to work and loves that there isn’t a day that goes by where she doesn’t learn something new. Her clients have taught her so much. When asked to give an example of a good day at work Conya said, “When my clients walk through the door after work they give me a big hug and they tell me they are so happy to see me and are excited to tell me about their day. I love how we all work together so well and get along.” Conya is very dependable, honest, and caring and we are so lucky to have her as a provider for the individuals we serve.

The Service and Support Administration Department would like to recognize our providers who go above and beyond for the people they support. Every month we will spotlight a “Provider of the Month”.  Nominees will be selected by vote from submission forms received the previous month. Just a small token of our appreciation for all that you do for the people in Shelby County!

Providers of services to people with developmental disabilities may be independent (self employed individuals) or agencies. In either situation, providers must be certified through the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities in order to provide services through waiver funding.
