POSITION: Speech Therapist
QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of a Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology required. Ohio Board of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology License required. Ohio Department of Education & Workforce (ODEW) Professional License as a School Speech-Language Pathologist required; or willingness to obtain the same. Successful completion of a physical, BCI/FBI background check and multiple database background checks as defined by Rule 5123-2-02. Must be physically capable to lift, carry and move children in a safe manner.

DUTIES: General duties include, but are not limited to:
• Implement various communication services in accordance with the stated goals and objectives on the Individualized Education Plan (IEP) and Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP).
• Prepare materials necessary for speech therapy.
• Perform annual hearing screens.
• Consult and cooperatively plan with instructors, other specialists, staff, and families in providing guidance for communication skills and language development programs.
• Assess communication and language strengths and needs of students and provide assessment data which provides the basis for individualized plans of instructional and therapeutic communication, speech, or hearing services. Coordinate these plans with other program personnel providing services to students.
• Maintain written records of each consultative and therapeutic contact, and ensure availability of these records to instructors, specialists, families, and administrators.
• Attend and participate in parent/teacher conferences, screenings, staff meetings, and other meetings as required; attend conferences, in-service sessions, and other professional workshops. Complete all required trainings.
• Perform other related duties as required.

COMPENSATION: Pay starting at $42,840 annually or more, based on experience.
Benefits include State Teachers Retirement System of Ohio (STRS); medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance; paid sick and personal leave. Nine paid Federal Holidays and an extended holiday period in December.

HOURS: 37.5 hours per week during the academic school year (192 Days).
Generally 7.5 hours per day, Monday through Friday.
