Congratulations to Alicia Howard! You are the Shelby County Board of DD’s provider of the month for June 2021!
Alisha goes above and beyond in supporting individuals. She works tirelessly to ensure the health and safety of the people whom she serves. That is why we are so impressed with her level of dedication! Alicia has worked in the DD field for about four years. She works for an agency called REM. Alicia was also a supervisor for three years, and she enjoyed every moment. When asked what is a good day at work, Alicia’s response was “A good day at work is entertaining people with games, arts, crafts, music, a delicious dinner and ending it with a good movie. I am so blessed to be working in this field as it is my passion.”
All people with various levels of abilities, sometimes need help. Providers are the key to independent living for those with developmental disabilities. We are very fortunate at The Shelby County Board of Developmental Disabilities to have Alicia as a service provider for the people we serve.
