Congratulations to the August Provider of the Month, Laura Hobler.
Laura is wonderful and always ensures the needs of the individuals supported are met. When asked to give an example of a good day at work Laura’s response was, “ Any day that I can make someone’s life a little easier or more pleasant, is a good day. There are 11 individuals I support; each have different needs and wishes, so every day is different. Some days are a challenge, while others are easy, but I truly enjoy them all. “ Laura started working in the ODD field in 1980. In 1995 she started working as an Independent Provider. She retired in 2011 from full time employment elsewhere but can’t imagine doing anything else than what she does now as a provider.
The Community and Support Services Department would like to recognize our providers who go above and beyond for the people they support. Every month we will spotlight a “Provider of the Month”. Nominees will be selected by vote from submission forms received the previous month. Just a small token of our appreciation for all that you do for the people in Shelby County!
