Congratulations to February’s Provider of the Month, Duff Geier. Duff has over 30 years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. He is dependable, compassionate and wants the best for those he works with. Duff is very calm in his approach and does not get rattled during situations that can be challenging. He is willing to hang in there for those individuals that are intermittent users of services. Duff’s willingness to try new things with the individuals does not go unnoticed. He is a good asset to the waiver services programs and everyone at The Shelby County Board of Developmental Services is glad to have him as a provider.
The Community and Support Services Department would like to recognize our providers who go above and beyond for the people they support. Every month we will spotlight a “Provider of the Month”. Nominees will be selected by vote from submission forms received the previous month. Just a small token of our appreciation for all that you do for the people in Shelby County!
Providers of services to people with developmental disabilities may be independent (self employed individuals) or agencies. In either situation, providers must be certified through the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities in order to provide services through waiver funding.
