Congratulations to October’s Provider of the Month, Linda Ostendorf. Linda is very dependable, caring, dedicated and always goes above and beyond for the individuals she works with. Linda has worked in the developmental disabilities field for 10 years. What she loves most about being an independent provider is to see the smiles and hear the laughter from her clients. “They are my friends, and I admire their strength no matter what they must overcome. That is what helping people is all about”, Linda stated. Linda is always willing to jump in and assist with emergency last minute situations. She is so kind hearted and puts others first. Linda exemplifies what a true provider should be with her caring heart and outgoing personality.
The Service and Support Administration Department would like to recognize our providers who go above and beyond for the people they support. Every month we will spotlight a “Provider of the Month”. Nominees will be selected by vote from submission forms received the previous month. Just a small token of our appreciation for all that you do for the people in Shelby County!
Providers of services to people with developmental disabilities may be independent (self employed individuals) or agencies. In either situation, providers must be certified through the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities in order to provide services through waiver funding.
